In the same year, Lotus Notes, a PC-LAN network which connects every single employee, was put into effect, establishing an information network which allows all employees to access the same information. A corporate website was launched as well, and in 2000, another website named aburaya.com was launched in order to sell pre-bottled products.

Tatsuaki Kaneda was elected the director of the Tokyo Oil Wholesalers Market in 1998. The year coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Tokyo Oil Wholesalers Market and thus he officiated all the commemorative events. He was then appointed to be the chairman of All Japan Federation of Oil Traders in 2000, and has been busy in his efforts to assist development of oil and fat industry in Japan. He was elected director of Tokyo Oil Wholesalers Market for a second time in 2004.

In 1998 the Kaneda Fukuzumi Factory was built on the grounds of Kaneda Butsuryu in Koto-ku, Tokyo, in accordance with "clean room" specifications, HACCP, the international specification for the food industry, and the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) required for the bottling of pharmaceutical products. The factory started its operation by bottling olive oils commissioned by customers for retail sales, but in 1999 started packaging pharmaceutical products after obtaining the "Certificate for the Manufacture of Pharmaceutical Products."

In 2001, a "Test Kitchen" was built in the Kaneda Building in Fukagawa so that Kaneda is able to test produce bread and creams and present samples and proposals customer assessment. The existing Research and Development Division was given an upgrade, allowing it to have better capacity for the production and analysis of pharmaceutical products so that the customers can have more confidence in our service.

Kaneda Fukuzumi Second Factory was built and commenced its operation in 2002, manufacturing liquid paraffin under Japanese Pharmacopoeia.

In 1999 Kaneda branched out into running the franchise shops of "Mister Donut" and opened a shop in Yamato, following it with others in Hachioji and Hachioji Minamino. In 2001, Kaneda opened an "Oils of the World" Shop in an underground floor of the annex building in which a wide variety of oils are displayed and sold. The shop was covered by TV stations in 2003 and was featured in nation-wide programs such as "Docchi no Ryori Show (NTV)" and "Adomatic Tengoku (TV Tokyo)."

The first "Cosmetics Industry Technology Exhibition" was held in Yokohama in 2003. Kaneda presented a variety of raw materials used in the making of cosmetics and this resulted in many business inquiries.

Kaneda has always been eager to improve the quality standing of the company. In 2001, we obtained the global standard ISO9001, followed by the acquisition of ISO14001 in the next year, which certifies our high environmental consciousness.
